The World Flu Day Symposium Organising Committee, in partnership with the Doherty Institute and the WHO Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research on Influenza, is proud to host the World Flu Day 2026 Symposium. This marks the 9th World Flu Day Symposium and the first time the event has been held outside China and Japan, reflecting its expanding international reach and the strong global research collaborations it fosters.

Since its inception in 2018, this event has played a central role in raising public awareness, accelerating innovation and strengthening global commitment to influenza prevention and control. Continuing this tradition, the World Flu Day 2026 Symposium at the Doherty Institute will bring together researchers, clinicians, industry specialists and policymakers from Australia, China, Japan and beyond to explore the latest developments in influenza epidemiology, transmission, virology, immunology and vaccines.

We warmly welcome participants and look forward to fostering scientific exchange, strengthening collaborations and celebrating the global influenza research community.
